Neil Halstead : Sleeping On Roads

Neil Halstead was the singer/guitarist with UK shoegaze band Slowdive. After two members left and the band was dropped by Creation Records the remaining members including Halstead decided on a new musical direction and a name change. Thus Mojave 3 a country, folk sounding band were born and subsequently signed to 4AD Records. Halstead released his first solo album 'Sleeping On Roads' on the same label in 2002 while still very much remaining a member of the band.
