Mention Adam + The Ants to most people and they will mention Prince Charming, Stand and Deliver and THAT white stripe painted across Adam's nose. However, delve a bit deeper and the pre make-up/pirate uniform Ants were a different proposition. I recently bought the re-mastered edition of 'Dirk Wears White Sox' and surprisingly it holds up well alongside some of the so called indie/alternative/punk bands of today. Have a listen to these tracks recorded for the John Peel show on Radio 1 and decide for yourself.
