Local Natives are already gathering much praise in the media with the Guardian newspaper comparing their different elements favourably with Fleet Foxes (harmonies), Vampire Weekend (rhythm) and Arcade Fire (drama). The band who are Matt Frazier (drums), Ryan Hahn (guitars, vocals), Taylor Rice (vocals, guitar), Kelcey Ayer (vocals, keyboards) and Andy Hamm (bass) have so far only released one limited edition 7" single, slow Hands/Cards & Quarters which came out this week on Chess Club records. The band's debut album 'Gorilla Manor' will be released soon.
